Meerut, Nov 29: Kavindra Rana, a 32-year-old property dealer from Saharanpur and a driver Vijay were found shot inside their Bolero vehicle on Monday morning inside a forest adjoining the Partapur bypass here.
Police believe the murders took place on Sunday night.
Rana had left his home in Saharanpur at around 1 pm saying he was proceeding to Dehradun. He took his friend Avinash's Bolero and his driver Vijay.
According to Avinash, he rang up his driver at around 7:15 pm and Vijay told him that they were moving towards Meerut and there were two youths with them in the vehicle.
Both the bodies were found slumped in the front portion of the vehicle, and the shot wounds indicated that they had been shot point-blank near their temples.
DIG Police alongwith a fingerprint experts team reached the scene and collected evidences. A cloth bag, two countrymade pistols, 2 cellphones and a gold earring was found from the scene.
Police is on the lookout of the two youths suspected of having committed the murders.
The property dealer was interested in sale/purchase of plots in Partapur, which could be the reason behind the murders, police said.
