New Delhi, Jan 12: South Delhi police on Wednesday arrested four persons on charge of duping customers of RBS (Royal Bank of Scotland) by posing as EMI recovery agents.
The four, Vishal, Ajit, Kamal and Subhash, were detained from Hauz Khas after customers complained to the bank that they had already paid the amounts in cash to the accused posing as EMI recovery agents.
DCP South Chhaya Sharma said, Ajit, Kamal and Subhash earlier used to work for IMS which did EMI(euqated monthly instalments) recovery work for RBS but later left their jobs. In the meanwhile, they had collected data relating to the bank customers in details.
The accused used to collect money in cash and give fake receipts to the bank customers.
Four such cases have come to our notice so far, said Sharma.
