New Delhi, Jan 13 : Delhi Police have cracked the Rs one crore robbery at a house in Surajmal Vihar on Tuesday.
Three robbers, with faces covered, entered the house of one Naveen Jain and decamped with Rs 5 lakh cash and several lakhs worth jewellery by tying up the man's daughter.
While hunting for clues, police found the locks of the door cut from inside, and zeroed in on the servants, but could not find any lead.
It was the cctv cameras inside the house which gave the game away. The cameras showed none at the time of robbery, meaning that somebody from the household could have been part of the robbery.
Police ultimately zeroed in on the house owner's daughter who broke down and confessed that she committed the robbery with her boyfriend, because her parents were not willing to marry her to the boyfriend.
Both the girl and her boyfriend have been arrested.
