UST Global, a leading digital technology services company, has signed a seven-year, $30 million deal with the Madhya Pradesh government to digitise its 377 urban local bodies. As part of the deal, UST Global will help these bodies provide facilities such as electronic bill payments and online filing of grievances to its citizens.

Overall, it will support the state's projects in water, electricity, public health and transportation outlined in the Chief Minister's infrastructure development manifesto, Vision 2018.

UST Global also announced its ‘Impact India' programme, under which it will train and hire 10,000 differently-abled individuals across the country over three years. This is apart from the 5,000 people that it plans to hire for expansion during the same period.

“We are delighted to partner with the state of Madhya Pradesh to build a robust framework for good governance, accelerated economic growth, and inclusive social development. This alliance firmly establishes our vision to be a successful business that uses both technology and resources to transform the society for greater good,” said Commenting on the deal with Madhya Pradesh, Sajan Pillai, CEO, UST Global.

On the Impact India programme, he added, “The effort aimed to model targeted skill development initiatives in India is based on UST Global's successful science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) training campaigns around the world.”

UST Global is looking to expand its footprint, both in India and globally, to provide and create technology solutions that will foster inclusion and economic growth. At a meet-and-greet event hosted by UST Global in Bangalore recently, Indian cricket team and IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni referenced technology solutions making life simpler, especially in the delivery of healthcare. He also added that, “I have been part of many such events, but this one is always unique as UST Global focuses on giving back to society.”

UST Global signed a three-year deal with Chennai Super Kings as its principal sponsor last year. Talking about the association at the meet-and-greet event, Nikki Arora, Chief Marketing Officer, UST Global, said, “We are proud to be associated with one of the most commendable and successful cricket teams of IPL. We believe that business and sports, like cricket, have much in common, with the success of both hinging on team effort, agility, and strategy.”

In addition to e-governance projects in India, UST Global is witnessing huge potential in SMAC (social, mobility, analytics, cloud) and cyber security. It now offers cutting-edge cyber security services in association with Mossad, the Israeli intelligence agency.
