New Delhi: Drug firm Divis Laboratories has reported a 8.78 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 196.43 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 mainly on account of robust sales.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 180.57 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.
Consolidated total income rose to Rs 750.21 crore for the quarter under consideration from Rs 657.50 crore for the same period year ago, the company said in a filing to BSE.
Consolidated net profit rose to Rs 773.34 crore for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2014 from Rs 602.01 crore for the previous fiscal.
Consolidated total income of the company stood at Rs 2,532.14 crore for the financial year ended March this year as against Rs 2,144.84 crore for the year ago period.
In another filing to BSE, Divis Laboratories said its board has recommended a dividend of 1,000 per cent that is Rs 20 per equity shares of Rs 2 for the year ended March 31, 2014.
Shares of Divis Laboratories ended trading at Rs 1,237.85 per scrip at close on BSE, down 4.33 per cent from its previous close.
