Greater Noida: Fiat Group Automobiles India Private Limited, the fully owned subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, showcased Linea facelift, Abarth 500 and Avventura CUV at the 12th Auto Expo 2014 in Delhi.
The new car is made especially for the Indian market and will appeal to those who love rugged, off-road style cars.
Built on the Linea platform and positioned as a `contemporary urban car', the Avventura will hit Indian roads latest this year. The car will be made at the Ranjangoan plant near Pune.
The CUV will be available as both petrol and 1.3-litre multijet diesel variants. The Avventura is powered by the same Fiat 1.3-litre Multijet engine which produces 90 BHP of power and 209 Nm of torque. The oil-burner is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission.
The showcar has roof-rails running along the sides. IT comes with body-cladding on all the doors and both the bumpers. To give the vehicle a rugged look, the ground clearance has been increased to 200 mm. A swingarm hs also been added to the rear bumper and attached the spare wheel at the rear. The CU will be available only on the top Emotion diesel variant and it will come with ABS, dual airbags and also projectors.
On the inside, the Avventura packs on loads of adventure accessories which include a compass, racing styled seats and body color stitched leather.
