Bajaj Pulsar RS200 launched in India at Rs 1.18 lakh for non ABS, and Rs 1.3 lakh for ABS

New Delhi: Bajaj has launched the fully faired version of the Pulsar 200NS in India, the RS200, at Rs 1.18 lakh for the non-ABS version and at Rs 1.30 lakh for the ABS version, ex-Delhi.

New Delhi: Bajaj has launched the fully faired version of the Pulsar 200NS in India, the RS200, at Rs 1.18 lakh for the non-ABS version and at Rs 1.30 lakh for the ABS version, ex-Delhi. However, on road price of Bajaj Pulsar RS200 non ABS will come out to be Rs 1.29 lakh, and Rs 1.43 lakh for ABS variant.

Bajaj says the Pulsar RS200 is the fastest Pulsar yet with a claimed top speed of 141kmph.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is powered by the same 199cc engine, which also powers the NS200. However, in the RS, it makes 24.5PS of peak power at 9,750 rpm and 18.6 Nm peak torque at 8,000 rpm. The same 6-speed manual transmission from the NS helps transmit power to the road. The claimed fuel efficiency is nearly 54kmpl, if ridden at 58kmph.

Produced from the company plant in Chakan, Pune, Pulsar RS200 weighs 165 kgs, 20 kgs more than the 200NS. It comes with dimensions of 1999 mm in length, 765 mm in width and 1114 mm in height, having ground clearance of 157 mm making performance across Indian road conditions more efficient. It has a wheelbase of 1355 mm and a fuel tank capacity of 13 litres.

In terms of styling the bike comes with twin projector headlights (55W low beam projector and 65W high beam projector), MRF Zapper S tubeless tyres (front 100/80/17 and 130/70/17 rear) LED taillights and LED daytime running lights, single channel ABS front 300 mm disc (230 mm rear disc no ABS, rear ABS variant is only for export), while instrument cluster is very similar to that seen on 200 NS.

Bajaj Pulsar RS200 will compete against the likes of Yamaha YZF-R15, KTM RC200, Hero Karizma ZMR and Honda CBR250R.
