New Delhi: Micromax today unveiled several new devices – including smartphones, new televisions, and new tablets – at its 'Guts to Change' event. A total of 19 products were announced at the event, with 15 new phones. However, the company only launched its flagship smartphones - Canvas 6 and Canvas 6 Pro.

At the event, Micromax emphasised that it has worked hard to improve software and services. "We want to make Micromax, the largest services company in India, consolidate our leadership position in overseas markets we are present as well as enter new markets," said Rahul Sharma, Co-Founder, Micromax Informatics. 

Here are the 5 developments that you need to know:

Micromax Canvas 6:  The Canvas 6 smartphone is priced at Rs 13,999 and available for pre-booking starting today. The Canvas 6 features a 5.5-inch full HD display and is powered by 64-bit MediaTek Helio X10 octa-core processor. It is paired with 32GB of internal storage and 3GB of RAM and also has a microSD card slot for further expansion. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 5-megpaixel selfie camera, a 3,000mAh battery and connectivity options such as 4G LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS.

Micromax Canvas 6 Pro: The Canvas 6 Pro also costs Rs 13,999 and is opened for pre-booking today. The smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD (1080p) display and is powered by MediaTek’s 64-bit Helio X10 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. It is paired with 4GB of RAM, and also offers 16GB of onboard storage and a microSD card slot for further expansion. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera of aperture f/2.0 with 5P Largan lens, LED flash and PDAF. Up front is a 5-megapixel wide angle camera for selfies. It comes with a 3,000mAh battery, and in terms of connectivity the device has 4G LTE support, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS, and on the software front, it runs on Android OS with Micromax’s customized OS running atop.

New logo: The company also unveiled a new logo and changed its tagline to 'Nuts: Guts: Glory' as part of the Micromax 3.0 strategy for growth going forward. Micromax has outlined a 5-point strategy which will lead the charge for growth for the company. The company in the event said that it wants to become a full fledged consumer electronics company and also wants to be the biggest services company in India. 

Other smartphones and devices: Other smartphones unveiled at the event include the Micromax Bolt Supreme, Bolt Supreme 2, Bolt Q381, Canvas Spark 2+, Canvas Evok, Canvas Mega 2, Canvas Unite 4 along with televisions and tablets.

Udio mobile wallet and e-store: Micromax also made some key announcements at the event, including its mission for the next four years. It also announced its partnership with Visa and TransServ to introduce the Udio mobile wallet. It also announced its own e-store, where it plans on selling its devices, which will be functional soon.
